How it Started...

The first Kolache Kitchen location opened in January 2013 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana just steps away from Louisiana State University. Will Edwards, a Houston native, saw the absence of kolaches in the Baton Rouge area and decided to fill that void. With overwhelming support from his family and friends, Edwards opened his first location less than two years after he graduated from LSU. Thanks to the Baton Rouge community, the first location has thrived ever since the day it opened. Due to high demand and continuing support, Edwards opened his second Baton Rouge location in April 2015. In January 2018, The Kolache Kitchen expanded to the New Orleans market. There are now three locations in Baton Rouge and two locations in New Orleans with plans to open more in the future.
